Universal Studios Adds Colour to Sentosa

The number of pictures I can post for free on my WordPress account is dwindling, but I feel the urge to post more pictures of the new Universal Studios.  I went there last March taking the train from VivoCity.

I am not a rollercoaster person as I mentioned in my last post, but I did find the walkways with all the props, huge and impressive.

I know some little boys who will love the Shrek 4D movie where you get sneezed at in the face by Donkey.  The whole experience might be more fun if you go with kids and see it through their eyes.

I went during the promotional period and got a S$10 food voucher and a S$5 gift shop voucher included in the S$66 weekday entry fee. I don’t think they offer that anymore. It would be great if they did.

I need to be perfectly honest. The food served at the Egypt section was actually north indian food and it was pretty bad.  It was prepared earlier and left out to congeal.  The burgers at the 50’s style burger shack were too oily.  I wish I had saved my calories for a restaurant at VivoCity or the Chilli’s which is just at the entrance before you enter Universal Studios. I would tell my friends who are going there, if you’re famished just have some snacks instead.

thanks Julie 🙂 if you’re ever in the region you should try Durian – the spiky fruit with the strong smell. I will post about that one day. Singaporeans mostly love it but everyone else mostly can’t bear the smell or taste.

I am not a fan of rollercoasters too! I screamed so loudly the last time, the teen girl sitting next to me couldn’t stop laughing! Somehow food is greasy and lousy in all the theme parks I’ve been to….so I guess SG is no different.

Nice. Been to Disneyland but never been to Universal. Must make a trip to this one in Singapore one day – so expensive…your tiny island but I guess it’s cheaper than going to the one in Oz.

Wow, these are such cool photos! I haven’t been to the Universal Studio in Singapore yet. It gave me a good picture of what it would be like to visit there!!

I just went there once when it first opened. I am quite chicken when it comes to roller coaster rides, but I think your kids will love the place, especially the 4D Shrek Movie.
