A Quiet Mall for Coffee, Sandwiches and Sushi

It’s great that Tully’s and Quiznos are now in Singapore, although I am sure there are many American brands that sadly haven’t reached our shoes yet.

The ice latte’s at Tully have knocked my previous favourite from Starbucks to second place. I find the coffee smoother somehow and less bitter. The sandwiches at Quiznos also trump the ones at Subway which I find very dry and not as tasty or imaginative. The Quinoz chicken sandwich I had was so piled with lettuce it couldn’t be closed. It was messy to eat but oh so good!

West Coast Plaza is the new name for the old Ginza Plaza, and I much prefer this place after the renovation. It’s also one of the quieter malls where you can find a place to sit and read a book. It’s one of my new favorite haunts. If there’s no room at Tully’s I can always pop over to my next choice Starbucks which has a cosier ambience for reading with their softer roomier chairs. Much needed for my big butt. Another great thing about Starbucks is that they always provide me with a mug of ice water for free.

There are also various places where can find Japanese food like sushi including the Sakuraya market which also has a dining outlet just beside it.

When I last came here I spotted a Mothercare store as well. A great place to find last minute gifts for babies and toddlers.

What I like about this mall is the free shuttle service from Clementi MRT station every half hour from 10am to 9.30pm. Our well-connected subway train system allows me to get around in a zip.

I love this post! Now I really feel like going to West Coast Plaza and having a quiet day there with a cup of Tully’s. Nothing like a quiet day with a cuppa and a book.
