Took some photos of how Singapore shops are capitalizing on the biggest event this year – the World Cup. I have no telecast so I won’t be able to watch it – I hope I don’t get any withdrawal symptoms. Anyway, my friends will definitely inform me of the results and I can check the internet from time to time.
Some of the displays at VivoCity (our biggest mall) indicate that World Cup Fever is spreading. I snapped photos of some cute and quirky ones.
I loved the artistic Nike football figure made up of these suspended yellow balls. Yellow is always so bright and cheery in an art installation.
All the soccer jerseys were lined up to tempt fans. I am sure these jerseys are very expensive.
Clothing store, Ted Baker, had a super cute and funny display. A referee whose head turns to reveal a creepy clown. Both reveal a red card.
English pub, the Queen and Mangosteen advertises its live world cup telecast, hoping to lure in the customers. I am sure they’ll be rooting for England.
Even Most Original Burgers was advertising live matches. I wonder if it’s part of the newly opened Tom N Toms Coffee, because this sign board was put right in front of the just opened VivoCity branch of the Korean Coffee Outlet.
what camera that you use to snap that photo? I am just wondering.
so anyway do you have any favourite team in this worldcup match? 🙂
Hi…. could you call me ‘B’ instead please? No faves really cos I don’t really know that much about soccer
Don’t get the whole hype behind the world cup at all. Haven;t seen a single match yet although it is telivised live and for free here.
if i was there i would probably watch it if everyone was watching it and there was a world cup theme party or something….but i think i would prefer the beach or a book at a cafe over tv 🙂
