Thai Fashion Show at VivoCity

At first glance, I thought this was a rehearsal for a fashion show later on, but then I realized it was a collection of casual wear and the actual show might have been taking place. Then again, I spotted some bare feet? Must have been a rehearsal after all, being watched by an ardent flock that had gathered around. This just shows that I know nothing about fashion or fashion shows. If my cousin, the fashionista was with me, she would have instantly known that this was just a rehearsal. Reading this, she would probably think duh, they have no hair or make-up done or heels on – that’s a big clue. And there’s a designer on stage fussing over them!!

The thing that struck me was that the girls are positively skinny. I should have shared my meal with them. They definitely need the calories more than I do. The photos add a few pounds, but their legs are like little reeds in real life. Some time later, I saw one of them take a cigarette break. What is it about models and nicotine? Well I know they probably hardly eat and it curbs their appetite.

The show was called Creative Thai 2010, showcasing young designers from Thailand. This is what makes VivoCity more vibrant than other malls. There always seems to be something interesting going on.

being skinny is good I think,so that you can wear any clothes that you want.but anyway why don’t you like fashion then?every girl wanted to be a fashionista and there is no exception. 🙂

The models are mostly ang mohs, are there no asians that can model these clothes?

Haha.. yeah that looks like a rehearsal to me!!! The clothes don’t really look like they belong on a runway either. Wonder why they are doing a rehearsal in bare feet though. I thought they would at least practice with the shoes they have to wear for the actual show.

so it was odd that they were shoeless 😉
