The Rail Mall

It was another lovely cool day in Singapore and we headed to Cafe Epicurious which is supposed to have the best brunch in Singapore.  I just did a review in my earlier post, but since I took so many shots I thought I’d share what this lovely low density area looks like.  I am never in a mood to jostle with crowds in malls, so I love secluded joints.

The Rail Mail is very near my friend’s home and I just adore this very green area in upper Bukit Timah which is in the west of Singapore.  Rail Mall as it’s name suggests is located next to our old Malayan Railway line.  The bright green and yellow buildings are welcoming and there are 2 long rows of eateries and other outlets to meet your lifestyle needs like supermarkets and spas.  The best part is the free parking, but I think as it hits lunchtime it will be harder to find a lot.  As you drive towards the area, you’re greeted by lush greenery and it’s no wonder that expats love to stay here.  It may seem far, but it’s actually only 15 minutes away from town.

I love places with lush greenery! I love any place that makes me feel like I am out of SG!

the places I am attracted too in singapore are usually the most secluded and the most green or at least near a body of water. I am totally put off by crowded malls, but everyone around me in my family seems to love them…but i guess that’s cos they have something to buy.
