#53: Enjoying Changi Airport Even When You’re Not Flying Anywhere

It’s no wonder students love hanging out here to study. I found all the coffee and fast-food outlets filled with students and their books.  Mostly they nurse a cup of coffee and hang out there all day.  It can be annoying when you can’t find a seat, but you can blame them.  It’s a pretty conducive place to study if they can’t find a quiet place at home and the libraries are already too crowded.

Sometimes I just look at our Changi airport and think, this place is pretty great.  I am especially proud of it and Singapore when I return from a trip, especially if it has been particularly tiring.  When I enter Changi Airport I always feel, it’s so great to be home.

The decor here is always changing too.  Right now it’s decorated for the upcoming Hari Raya Puasa Festival.  It is so spacious too, which is something I always welcome and can be lacking at malls due to our space constraints.  I don’t think there’s any other country where citizens actually enjoy hanging out at the airport.

Our oldest, Terminal 1 is connected through our MRT (Singapore’s subway system).  It is just so convenient to get here.
