Singapore Daily Photo: Ginger Cat

You can easily come across a cat in Singapore. There used to be more strays around but this cat we spotted in Toa Payoh, is probably a pet of a store owner and she looks pretty well fed and healthy. I used to love kittens, but I was afraid of cats as a kid as I have no experience with any pets except for fish. Fish leaping out of the tank and flopping on the floor scared me out of my 5 year old wits too.

B is an animal person and they seem to gravitate towards him. I think animals know if you’re an animal person or not. I really envy people who seem to be able to communicate effortlessly like Dr Doolittle with their pets. Seems like such a wonderful relationship. Quite a number of people I know, cousins and friends fall into that category.

In the second photo, the cat is saying “Why are you taking a photo of me? Fine $1000.”
