Don at Liang Court: Fried Pork Cutlet Half Bowl and Mini Sanuki Udon Set

Liang Court is one of my favourite malls in Singapore because it seems like little Japan. It’s not near an MRT (subway) so it doesn’t get too crowded.

It was S$14 for the set at Don, which consists of fried pork cutlet and egg with rice and udon. This way you can satisfy your craving for both Japanese style rice and udon. The presentation on a wooden tray was lovely, and a green tea is included.

The stall is located at the basement food court which is near the Meidi-ya supermarket. I remember the portions being larger the last time and the don much tastier. This time B noticed the egg was overcooked and I felt the udon soup was tasteless. But I am being rather harsh as the first time I ate here I felt the meal was excellent. I still enjoyed the egg and rice as well as the udon’s texture. Previously the food was of a high standard probably because the Japanese chefs were still around. When we were here this time, there were only a couple of young girls behind the counter and they seemed to be struggling to keep up with the orders.
