The Haze Across the Border

It seems as bad in Johor Bahru as it is in Singapore.

Heading back towards Singapore, you can see the HDB flats at Woodlands enveloped in smoky air.  A pretty dismal scene.  I feel sorry for the tourists who have been caught in this situation.  What bad timing for them, when Singapore is usually all blue skies and cottonball clouds.

On another note, this is the first time I have paid attention to the pale blue pipes that bring us water from Malaysia. And just look at that shipping vessel adding even more pollution to the air. It just makes me wish I could teleport myself to New Zealand, Iceland or Tasmania. I long for a place where I can breathe in the sweetness of the air. Check out places with the best air quality in the world.. The only thing that can save us right now are the monsoon rains!

It’s just so depressing right now…not only can’t you breathe, it’s all grey. Blech.
