Where to go on a cloudy afternoon? Dempsey Hill always seems like a good choice. A place where you can get free parking and don’t have to watch the clock. You can lounge for hours without worrying about the parking fee coming up to S$6 or more which would be the case when you park in a mall.

This place has a nice laid back vibe. I’m attracted to wood panelling and high ceilings. But the place is probably a tad understaffed and the waiters seemed frenzied.

I can’t rave about the chocolate cookie, but the one with fruit in it tasted like a fruit cake which was a lovely surprise.

oops ;-p it’s a feasting for the eyes I admit I try to go on a diet and then I look at pictures of food blogs and get so hungry. In sIngapore we call it the seafood diet. (i.e. see food – I eat whatever I see)… an extremely corny but totally Singaporean lame joke. Try it on your colleagues.

My mother and I use the same joke – I think it’s cross-cultural!!
