Underground Mall at Esplanade Xchange

Just decided to do a lazy photo tour of the new link from Raffles City that I’m seeing for the first time. It’s called the Esplanade Xchange and the new link from City Hall MRT to Suntec City is called Marina Link. It opened way back in July, but this is the first time I’m exploring the place. I am a bit confused about where the old Raffles City Link ends the new recently constructed ones begin, but all the shops here look brand new to me, like they just opened yesterday.

This is the second and largest Dunkin Donuts I’ve seen in Singapore. The other smaller one was at ION.

The monochromatic art wall at Esplanade caught my eye.

Nothing much to see here. The food didn’t appeal to me and there was no place to sit down. I always chose a place to eat based on the seating as well. I just don’t like standing and eating.

What I saw as I walked out of the cool air-conditioned mall into a blast of hot air.

Nice. High ceilings always give me a feeling of space which I love and need.

Nice modern architectural details.

A super long escalator. Not good if you have vertigo.

I only know about this kind of shop because I once read a tabloid article about Suri Cruise making one of these. In Singapore, these make a bear craft stores are always empty. I wonder how they stay in business.

What a cute travel agency. Looks very Japanese.

This looks like a luxurious place for a manicure and a pedicure.
