Chilli’s at Tanglin Mall

Chilli’s is one of our top picks for American food. And Tanglin Mall is one of my favourite malls because it’s so laid back and I like the decor and feel of the place. We shared a full slab of original BBQ back ribs which came with the yummiest fries and out of this world moist and buttery, corn on the cob. I always need chilli sauce with my food and it’s a pity they use Maggie instead of Heinz (the ketchup provided is Heinz) or a better brand. That’s my only critique. There’s free flow of water which is always great, but this is a place that’s so popular you can’t make a reservation. Well you can, only if you’re making a reservation for a packaged group function. We were lucky to get a cosy booth seat though. It’s also dim inside and a nice place to chat, although it got very noisy with some boisterously happy young people that towards the end of the meal, we could hardly hear ourselves.

The meal came up to S$40 for two.

My husband and I came here when we were feeling homesick a few weeks ago. It was so packed! It was my first time at Tanglin Mall, too.

I always get a rack of ribs!
