I Had Korean Food Recently: Bibimbop

I wonder if this had anything to do with my strange dream about accidentally crossing the North Korean border.

I have been craving for Korean rice on a hot stone plate so we headed to stall 20 at Food Republic, Wisma Atria. This place is authentic because Korean people frequent this joint – I can tell as they speak in Korean.  The rice dish is called Bibimbop and it’s healthy and good because it comprises of steamed rice with all kinds of vegetables and roasted chicken pieces. I usually hate bean spouts, but the giant sprouts used were tasty and actually tasted like nuts instead.  I was intrigued.  I usually take all my sprouts and transfer them to my partner, but it’s a good thing I didn’t this time.  There’s a sweet chilli sauce that comes with the dish and you mix it all together before you eat it. The Korean ladies at this little food court restaurant are so friendly and nice. Their traditional attire is really lovely too.

My partner had the kimchi soup instead which didn’t seem as appetizing to me.
