If you’re crazy like me and love getting bumped into every few steps, then you must come here to get the full Singapore experience. I definitely only do this for the blog, otherwise I’d rather be at a quiet bookstore somewhere.
Seriously though, if you’re from a sparsely populated country, I wonder if this would be a phenomenon for you. If you’re from Tokyo or Hong Kong, you’d probably say this is nothing.
Just a day at the new mall in the Singapore suburbs. Serangoon Central to be specific and the mall is called Nex. It’s opening has been anticipated for the past year or so and the area is so deprived of good malls. There’s only Junction 8 and Ang Mo Kio Hub and those are getting so boring. It’s very convenient to get here from all over Singapore, even if you don’t drive, because of our super well connected MRT (subway). Especially the new yellow line, which I am loving. Also most people take a bus or walk from their homes nearby.
Love this series on the Nex opening!
This one line caught got me to thinking. “…otherwise I’d rather be at a quiet bookstore somewhere.” What/where are the nice bookstores in Singapore?
there are hardly any quiet ones on the weekend…perhaps Kinokuniya at Liang Court. I wish there were more. Will definitely post about it when I find them 🙂
