Another place with a decor that exudes warmth is the Swiss Bake Cafe. It seems to be owned by Movenpick going by the labels on the sugar packets, plates and napkins. At least this place is more enclosed than Starbucks or Tea Dot and that’s what drew us here. The seats here were cushioned and a lot more comfortable than Tea Dot’s wooden chairs.
I tried the Hot Chocolate, but it disappointed me – tasted like chocolate syrup was added to steamed milk. B liked it though – because he likes drinks that are not sweet and just milky.
Maybe I should skip the drinks next time since they provide free iced water (self-service), and just have pastries instead. Freshly baked pastries is Swiss Bake’s speciality after all.
In the terribly crowded Nex, it was a relatively empty place, and so nice to escape away from the bustling crowds for a while. The cashier and servers were really friendly and polite too.
good pancakes huh? I went christmas shopping last night! shall post the pictures in the afternoon! 😀 i bet we saw different perspectives of the same thing!
I love seeing a place from different perspectives…that’s really what makes food and lifestyle blogging so interesting 🙂
I love their apple strudels and some of the bread loaves. And I stop at that. 🙂
