Bliss: An Empty Beach Early in the Morning

Decided to dig up some old photos from last year of Changi Beach which is definitely my favourite beach in Singapore. The best time to go to the beach is as early as possible in the morning, before it gets too hot and crowded. There’s a stretch that I went to early last year that just seemed so clean.  It was so nice to walk by the beach and dig my toes into the sand.  There’ s tap where you can wash your feet after. Don’t be afraid to get your feet sandy, otherwise it’s just no fun.

Changi beach in the Eastern part of our tiny island, is also unique because you can look up and feel like the landing planes are going to land right on top of you, even though it’s just an optical illusion. It’s a little scary, but thrilling. I don’t know why, but I am scared and panicky when I am in planes, but when I view them landing and taking off, it looks really safe for the passengers up there, because the plane seems to be going really slowly and smoothly. The pilot seems to be in total control. It’s weird, I know. Wish I felt that same way when I’m in the plane experiencing turbulence and such.

  1. Beautiful photographs. I particularly liked the ones looking up at the plane…which is rather strange for me because it’s not the sort of photo I would normally take an interest in…you have quite a way with a lens.

cool, are dogs allowed? i can take pretzel (my dog) for a stroll there; I know there is a strip at sentosa that allows dogs

This is nice! Which part of Changi beach is this near to? Nowadays better not to stand under an A380….

Your photos make the beach look so inviting! Quite unusual for local beaches with the tankers-dotted horizon ;))

    Definitely heading there soon!
