Singapore Daily Photos: Toy Story Christmas at Parkway Parade

Christmas with Woody and friends. I know of Toy Story, because of the sweetest little boy, who is still little, but I can’t refer to him as a baby anymore. Even when he was 2, he would say in the most incredulous tone, “I’m not a baby”. It was so precious!

He’s now probably loads better at technology than I am. He used to love Woody. Now that I think about it, I’ve never watched the full Pixar movie – just bits here and there.

  1. The fact that students are so studious is impressive. I live in Italy and we don’t have Starbucks, yet! I wish we did. Even though my city hosts one of the eldest Universities in Europe, along with Oxford, I rarely see students study at cafes. I’m not even certain where they study.

Here is an example of an Italian cafe. See how the kids sitting around chat? I WISH I saw them with more books. 🙂

that looks so inviting…wish I could teleport myself there right now 🙂

Students are mostly studious due to parental pressure and fear that is instilled in them. I believe that kids should have this natural thirst for knowledge and not the way it’s forced here. I think the American system is great and produces so many creative people.

Totally agree with you Bookjunkie that it is done wrongly in Singapore. As for Starbucks, it does have a nice comfy feel, but really, there’s much better coffee out there!
