I didn’t expect that I would get to see Michelle Kwan perform. We just happened to be at the right place at the right time. It was quite a thrill to see the two time Olympic medalist and 30 year old beauty glide effortlessly and masterfully on the ice. It was her first performance ever in Singapore but to be honest it was very short and seemed to be over in just minutes.
It was also surprising to me that the skating rink was an ice skating rink in a mall that was just at regular air-conditioning temperature (about 19 degrees Celcious) and not particularly cold. It seems that it’s made out of a synthetic material as Channel News Asia reports.
I always thought Michelle Kwan was very tall and she looked tall in person. I would have guessed she was 1.7meters tall. It’s very surprising to discover how petite she is, at only 5 feet 2 inches which is 1.57 meters. Incidentally she’s the same height as Glee star Lea Michele, but I think they both have great legs.

oh that’s so cool, i really like michelle kwan! I watched her at performed at the olympics (on tv) when I was in high school, so cool she was in singapore performing
she is so pretty. I was so excited to be at the right place. I actually didn’t know she was going to perform that day. I thought her performance was over a couple of days ago.
