When I was first told about the Crane Dance at Sentosa, I instantly thought – the elegant white birds. It’s actually robotized mechanical cranes that are programmed to dance to music. It takes place at 9pm daily and lasts for 10 minutes. It’s free (which is great) and there are huge steps where you can sit to view the spectacular musical by the waterfront. I asked one of the friendly Universal Studios’ staff and they pointed me in the right direction.
Just across the waters, you can get a glimpse of the lights at VivoCity. I was surprised that VivoCity seemed just metres away, which made me wonder if you can see a tiny version of the crane performance all the way from the upper decks at Vivo.
It’s the world’s largest animatronic dance performance and it took 3 years to develop.
There was no fireworks at the end as the poster shows, but it was lovely. Especially how the water sprayed in time to the music.
You’ve got to see it for yourself. Here’s a video I found on Youtube.

who thinks of this stuff?
This is definitely a date night thing to do for us…must figure out when we’ll make it. Tomorrow is NYE and then our helper has the weekend off. Maybe the following weekend before his parents arrive for a visit? So excited…it looks gorgeous!
cool…..I think it’ll be nice. Someone at the park told us to get seated early about half an hour, before as it gets a bit crowded. I regretted not getting some snacks from the Hershey Store and popcorn place. They were selling snacks and drinks at the waterfront, but they didn’t look good.
