Ikea Does The Year of the Rabbit

When I got an Ikea flyer advertising the new items for Chinese New Year, I thought I just have to go there and check it out. Here are some photos from trip there.

If you’re having a Chinese New Year, Rabbit themed party – the nicely designed items they have will be perfect. I saw cushions, tumblers, rugs, napkin holders, place mats, lanterns and even aprons. All with the discrete gold rabbit logo against the traditional auspicious fire red. Been telling myself to cut down on the photos, but I still go overboard on them. I just can’t cut down. I’m trigger happy, just shooting away at everything.

I love that rabbit logo — so stylized and elegant. Even though my family doesn’t celebrate lunar new year, I like to have a little something in my house to commemorate the season. Too bad we don’t have a great selection of decorations here. All I’ve seen so far is the cutesy stuff, which I really don’t want to buy.
