I love the tasteful decorations for the Year of the Rabbit at My Village, the new little mall in Serangoon Gardens. I love it for the very reason that it’s tiny and relatively empty. The new mall is located at Maju Avenue, right smack in the middle of an old residential estate that is part of the real Singapore that you won’t find in guide books. It’s what they might call, off the beaten track as it’s not near any MRT (subway). You need to drive here and they have introduced valet parking. It’s compulsary but at least it’s free. They explained it was due to there being insufficient space within this parking garage.
A Cafe called Hong Kong Taste opens in this new mall on 23 January 2011. I noticed that besides Subway, Coffee Bean is open as well. I am figuring the store owners are all probably trying their best to be ready for business before the Lunar New Year.
The supermarket (NTUC Finest) was filled with tempting treats.

Serangoon Gardens’ My Village Again
Funny how you’ve mentioned MyVillage a couple of times now because my current home is a stone’s throw away! Do you live in the vicinity as well? Checked it out twice and I like that so far, it’s nice and quiet.
My relatives live around here so it’s a great reason to pop by.
I can’t wait to read your review of the place.
i like the little marketing gimmicks and phrases with the rabbits, cute
yeah me too 🙂
Are you going next Thursday?
depends on what we crave for at the time.
