At Kinokuniya, which I fondly call Kino, the largest bookstore in Singapore (Ngee Ann City) you can find almost any book as it carries half a million titles. I also love the smaller but cosier branch at Liang Court which carries 150,000 titles. They both have awesome stationary sections too. Browsing here is a great joy.
Books Kinokuniya was founded in 1927, with its first store located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. It means “Store of Kii Province”. It was originally a lumber and charcoal dealer. After the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, the business was moved to a new location in Shinjuku where it was re-fashioned into a book store.

I love to visit the Kinokuniya at Takashimaya and get lost in it (of course I try to buy a book to read)!
I think it’s a favourite place of many book lovers in Singapore.
Phew. So glad that Kinokuniya is intact from the fate of Page One and Borders. :/
I would be absolutely devastated if Kino falls too…please noooooo
