I was instantly attracted by these sculptures at Toa Payoh, just next to the place where Singaporeans queue to book their HDB flats, called the Toa Payoh Hub. Toa Payoh central is one of Singapore’s earliest public housing projects.
Tiong Bahru Pao has really good Char Siew Pau, but I was just too full to get any. Like many food outlets in Singapore, it takes the names of it’s original location.
The name of this Bubble Tea store is just so local and Singlish – Come Buy. I love how Singlish though seemingly ungrammatical is always economical and to the point.
It’s nice to take a bus from here because you’re sheltered from the sun and rain. The best part – you can wait in air-conditioned comfort.
