Simple Pleasures: Wan Tan Mee & the Sunset

There is so much good street food at the Old Airport Road Food Centre, but I always tend to crave for simple wan tan mee.  You need to queue up at this stall (Hua Kee Hougang Wan Tan Mee), but the wan tan mee is better than the one that has the electronic system where you don’t have to queue.

Simple pleasures indeed. Happiness need not always cost a bomb. I now crave for some hawker food after my pigging out session yesterday.

I was hovering around this stall the other day. Walked around the hawker centre a few times before I could settle down and decide on the lor mee (somewhere along the back rows, facing the car park). It was one of the better ones I have tasted. I’ll check out this wanton mee the next time I am there. The chilli looks yummy! Tried the stall that uses the electronic system, nothing really to shout about.
