What’s Better Than Ice Cream?

Ice Cream with Alcohol in it!

I went to Udder’s at My Village and the friendly young staff urged me to try as many flavours as I wanted. I tried the rum and raisin which will definitely make you tipsy with it’s rum content. My favourite was the orange chocolate bitters – sooo good. I learnt something new. Ice cream with alcohol in it never hardens to the point where you can’t scoop it up easily, even if you keep it in the fridge for a long time.

They also had interesting flavours like lychee martinee which my cousin D will love. The Alphonso mango is among the range of ice creams without liquour that truly tasted like mango.

The bright orange stools made this little ice cream outlet so cheery and the prices here are slightly lower than Ben & Jerry’s.

This is what I found on their website:

Rum Rum Raisin – double the rum
A rummy rum and raisin, where you can actually taste the rum. Twice as much liqueur as the other liqueur flavours.

Bailey’s & Bourbon – bailey’s, bourbon
Bailey’s Irish Cream seductively combined with bourbon

Orange Choc Bitters – triple sec, dark choc
Very dark and bitter Belgian chocolate is generously spiced with Triple Sec, an orange liqeur.

Tira-miss-u – authentic italian mascarpone cheese, brandy, cognac

Choya Lime Umeshu Sorbet – choya, lime
Japanese plum wine refreshed with lime.

Lychee Martini – lychee, vodka
The sweetness of lychees enhanced with a little naughty vodka.

It looks delicious. And I am not even a big fan of ice cream. I think the Lychee flavor intrigued me. The alcohol is also a bonus 🙂

I hardly drink, but I like the idea of ice cream spiced with a bit of liquor…makes it more interesting. My photo is not very good though. It tastes better than it looks for sure.
