Precious Little Bit of Green

A small government apartment that only has a lease of 99 years or less, is so extremely expensive. Unless you’re born with a silver spoon, you need to go into debt for life to own one.  Imagine – you can’t afford to quit that nasty job.

So once we get that home that we own, beautify it we do. We love our flowering plants adding pot after pot to compensate for the lack of a garden.  Like the inhabitant of this little unit at Toa Payoh who definitely is in possession of green fingers.

It’s mind boggling to think that for the very same price you could probably get a lovely house with a huge yard somewhere in Idaho perhaps.  And these are the thoughts that occupy our minds.

Yes, but then you’d live in Idaho, which is a fate worse than death to an urbanite 🙂

My boyfriend’s modest little house in Thailand costs him S$105 a month to rent. *sobs like a baby in jealousy*
