Twitter makes news travel very fast. But I was still shocked to see that Elizabeth Taylor has passed away at just 79. It’s sad when we lose another legend. I was hoping it was a hoax, but it was confirmed by the mainstream media. There were reports that she had congestive heart failure, but I guess I and probably the world still expected her to pull through, as she was such a strong and passionate person.

I love these quotes from the beauty:
I have a woman’s body and a child’s emotions.
It is strange that the years teach us patience; that the shorter our time, the greater our capacity for waiting.
People who know me well, call me Elizabeth. I dislike Liz.
Well I had no clue she’d passed away. She was an amazing woman and actress.
I just saw it minutes ago…hard to process.
So sad….:( She will always be an icon.
My mum used to tell me that she watched Lassi…..it makes me want to watch her old movies. I love classics.
This is how I found out about it! I posted on Facebook and Twitter after reading this blog that every time a star dies, I realize that we all get our news from social media now!
Social media is really so powerful…..for a person who grew up in the non-tech era this is quite amazing to me.
Such a beautiful woman. But I think she had been struggling for some time. I remember watching an awards show a few years back where she was so disoriented it was so sad.
I love her strong eyebrows. I am not so much a fan of overly plucked brows.
Her health has been failing as she gets older and with her death, it is just sad to know a Hollywood great is now gone.
RIP….
Happy SITS Day.
I also posted my favorite Elizabeth Taylor quote today.
I must check it out…..it’s sad when a legend goes.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. You are sweet. Elizabeth Taylor was one of a kind.
Love your beautiful blog Laura 🙂
I’ve never been a huge fan of hers, but I’m still so sad that such a beautiful and gracious icon of our culture has passed away. They just don’t make ’em like that anymore! It makes me want to go rent her movies too! Visiting from SITS – really like your blog!
Thank you Tam. I missed out on most of her movies, but my mum was shocked when I told her that the legend from her era had passed away. I really need to go get the DVDs.
~~~Now, Elizabeth was a TRUE movie star.
Gorgeous. So very gorgeous. 🙂 xx
I so agree…those eyes and she had a real body
The actress with her trademark violet eyes has passed away and will be deeply missed by fans and critics alike. She maybe gone but she left a legacy behind for us and future generations to remember.
I was surprised, too. Like you thought she would live for years yet.
Happy belated SITS day.
