I took so many shots at Kampong Glam which is our Muslim quarter. I was just loving the beautiful old architecture here. What I really love is hardly any building is higher than two stories.
White buildings always look fabulous in contrast to our pale blue skies. Shot this at Baghdad street.
My eyes were drawn to this old building painted blue.
I tend to like the blue, pink combination.
I love how majestic Sultan Mosque looks against the watery blue sky.
Don’t know if you can see it, but the roads were wet from the drizzle. That’s one of the nice things about Singapore – sunny one moment, and when it gets too hot there comes the convectional rain to cool us down again.
Dropping by from SITS! All of your pics inspire me even more to visit Singapore! Love following along!
Thanks Nini 🙂

i very much look forward to clear pretty blue sky soon
Awe, what a beautiful mosque!
I was quite awe-inspired by it.
I love your pictures! The building looks so clean .
Thanks for sharing those pics. Very cool! Thanks for visiting on my SITS day!
I am so glad I came across your blog….it’s wonderful 🙂
Love, love, love the photos! The blue sky is always so nice to see. Singapore has such a colonial feel which we don’t see in Jakarta unless we go to the northern port city of Jakarta. Kampong sounds very similar to Kampung in Bahasa Indonesia, which means village. I wonder if it’s a Malay word. That blue and pink combination of the building is eye-catching.
Thanks so much Kaho 🙂 I liked that blue pink combination too.
Yes Kampong – it’s Malay and means village. I guess Bahasa Indonesian and Malay are very similar. The Nasi Padang (rice with dishes and curries) I love to eat originates from Indonesia I believe. Do you like Nasi Padang too?
Correct me if I am wrong, was Kampung Glam once a Malay village long ago? Anyway, nice shots of that place and keep it up. One more thing though, if you got a chance can you maybe take pictures of anything you could find in a Peranakan Museum in Singapore? Thanks.
I actually haven’t been to the Peranakan Museum yet, but will definitely feature it when I do.
Thanks and take your time.
