Peranakan Museum: Dining

I was excited about the food section in the Peranakan Museum as I love Peranakan food. You are first introduced to the dining area which is very elaborately set-up for a feast.

Look at all those matching pink dishes.

You can even pull up chair to join in the feast. Great photo moment for tourists.

Those are expensive looking silver chopsticks.

My favourite was the bowl that was pink on the outside and turquoise within. So pretty.

The kitchen which was probably the most important room in the Peranakan home.

Those tableware just reminds me of The Little Nyonya series 🙂 It is amazing that they are now in a Peranakan musuem for us and future generations to remember and look at with admiration.
