Uniquely Singapore Skies

I love looking up and taking photos of our skies. In spite of our perpetual summer, we do see quite a bit of variation if we look hard enough.

A fine day.

Clear skies.

Cumulous clouds on a blistering hot day. Conventional rain falls soon after.

Just before a thunderstorm, the sky can look quite menacing.

And it pours. A refreshing rain.

Overcast and cool. The morning sky.

    How lovely 🙂 It’s like KL’s 😀
    HK is always grey… 🙁

I think Singapore and Malaysia are so connected that we share a lot in terms of culture food etc. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be still part of Malaysia and not have to produce a passport to travel through…..would be wonderful in fact 🙂 I’d probably want to stay some place cooler like Cameron Highlands!!

If Singapore is still part of Malaysia, it will not be what it is now…. That’s an interesting thought and can make for an interesting topic for discussion over tea! 😀
I can imagine that the state of Singapore will be more or less like Penang or Klang. Busy porttowns, but retains a sense of old days charm where people are more relaxed and speak more Hokkien than English.
But, that also means no CBD skyline, and no MRT, and old buildings will be torn down instead of being restored :'( Also, other cities south of Peninsula wouldn’t be as prominent… shadowed by Singapore being a portcity (ie. income generator).

I would definitely welcome more relaxed. At the Singapore workplace you’re on a wheel like a hamster and can’t stop running.

That is ultimate sad. People forget the reason they work… Happened to me, and I hope it won’t happen again 🙂

it’s part of my mid-life crisis. I now only hope to do what I have true passion for.

You may wanna explore the possibility of retiring in Cameron Highlands with the “Malaysia My Second Home” scheme 🙂

It’d be so lovely that you can be real close to the rose farms 🙂 And, literally wake up to smell the roses 🙂

I have a deep fondness for Cameron Highlands having been there at least 4 times as a child. Yess….the rose farms…the strawberries with cream…..the pretty little cottage with fireplaces….

Prior to global warming it was quite heavenly. We stayed at cheap motels and drove all the way….so much fun to a kid but hard work for my parents – I now realize.

Would love to hear more about Malaysia My Second Home….sounds interesting 🙂

Wow. To drive from Singapore to Cameron Highlands!? Without presentday highways must have been quite an ardous task! But, I’m sure it was all worthwhile to see their child’s excited face 😀

You can get more info on Malaysia My Second Home (“MM2H”) here: http://www.mm2h.gov.my/index.php
I saw a documentary on Japanese retiring in Penang and Kota Kinabalu and Europeans in Langkawi and KL.
