I think this is the few places on earth where you can spot huge ships and tankers at the beach. Not so good for swimming, but it’s quite a glorious sight from a distance. All those coconut trees at East Coast Beach always give me a holiday feel.
At Changi Beach there’s the thrill of watching the planes come in.
And it’s relaxing to watch people fish. Their patience and stillness calms me as well. I’ve never fished in my life being a spoilt city person, but it seems like quite a nice thing to live off the land. I heard about people in the Seychelles who do just that. Live in a simple home by the beach and with the abundance of fish they always have a good meal.
I love watching the ships 🙂 They make me feel the world is so much more connected than we think it is. Is Changi Beach where people board bumboats to go to Ubin Island? I wonder why I have totally missed out on the coconut trees and hobbyists fishing!
Ships always have that magical quality, especially when I look at them when the plane I’m on is nearing Singapore and landing on a return trip home.
Like little toy ones in the water.
