My Favourite Nasi Briyani: Yakader

So far this is my absolute top choice for briyani. A hot and stuffy area at Tekka Market in Little India. It’s totally worth enduring the heat. Most people go for the famous Alauddin, but I prefer Yakader. The rice is soaked with the delicious gravy and you can eat it on its own with a bit of thalchar (dhall curry that specially goes with briyani) and it’s just so yummy. S$4.50 for a very filling meal. You could probably have a light dinner after this heavy lunch.

The Teh Alia (ginger tea) at the store next door goes well with this meal.

Run by a nice elderly uncle. The bandung looks super tempting. Love all those colours.

Luckily there was no a very long queue as we were early and beat the lunch-time crowd.
