My Second Visit to the Marina Barrage

It was much nicer this time as the weather was cooler. Totally overcast and there was a little bit of drizzle. Not many people flying kites though. Also we explored the cafe which had a nice view of the water. The cafe is a bit dingy though. The service staff on the other hand were super polite and welcoming.

Wonder what these kids were here for. I guess it must be an excursion since it’s the school holidays.

There’s a cafe within this building called the pump house. Sounds like some kind of club doesn’t it?

Again, who could resist a photo of the Marina Bay Sands structure. Brilliant architecture. Not too out of place since we are surrounded by ships.

It all looks so cloudy. You can see the Singapore Flyer from here as well.

Loved the sunny yellow of these floating barriers.

There were a couple of kites in the sky and tons of noisy teenagers. I can’t believe I used to be one. And I would like to kid myself that I was not that noisy. Well I guess that was when I was carefree and without the weight of the world and worries.

The only cafe I spotted.
The Gallery Cafe has a website. You can check out the menu there.

The best part of it all is that parking is free. A rarity in Singapore, but I hope it lasts.

You can read about my very first visit here.

From the images, the giant glass house looks completed!! Yay!! Are horticulturalists beginning to plant exotic plants within? So excited!!

Sunken ship?! It actually looks more like a cockle shell to me 🙂 I meant, the Singapore Gardens by the Bay… maybe I haven’t made myself really clear.. 😛

Hmmmm……cockle shell is interesting too….It’s more like half of a sinking ship…the other half being under sea level?? ;-p

I need to explore the gardens next….was too lazy to walk too far 😉
