Just three songs that were playing in my head today and just had to go hunt out on YouTube.
Sorry to sound like an old fogie, Gen Y, but I’m truly Gen X and I just can’t get with the new music. I am sure the Baby Boomers feel the same way about me.
These days it doesn’t seem to be about the melody any more. Love Alvin’s Stardust’s ‘I Feel Like Buddy Holly’. I hardly hear lyrical music these days. Those with really sweet melodies.

Music that was happy and upbeat, with the coolest videos. It’s when MTV really featured music and not all those crappy reality shows and contests and VJ’s trying to be cool. And here’s Adam Ant back in 1990. Now that’s a beautiful looking guy. Have you noticed how really beautiful looking men always look great wearing make-up and dressed in women’s clothes? He’s not dressed in women’s clothes, but I think he would make for a gorgeous woman.

And this Annie Lennox video, ‘Walking on Broken Glass’ from 1992, which features Hugh Laurie (House) and John Malkovich. Just once again proving my assertion that they don’t make ’em like they used to.

I know I’m old because I remember those days, too. I dislike today’s MTV programming (and I use that term loosely).
Walking on Broken Glass is a favorite.
I used to watch MTV religiously when it first came to Singapore in the 90’s, but then it got so crappy and disappointing.
I also love Precious Little Angel by Annie Lennox…made me cry.
Annie Lennox has a lovely voice.
Annie Lennox totally rocks 🙂
