Swirling Thunderstorm Clouds

It was a mighty hot 36 degrees celcius today which converts to 97 degrees Farenheit (may not sound too bad, but imagine muggy humidity of around 78%).

But there is an upside.  Later in the day I looked up and saw the most amazing thunderstorm clouds forming. Never seen them so swirly before.

My photos do not in any way capture the raw power of the sky today.  Will try harder the next time the sky has me awe struck.

I love looking at clouds! But so often we’re so busy we forget to look up. 🙂

  4. Oh wow, I don’t think I’ve ever noticed clouds being swirly like that! Looks quite menacing. Actually the thunderstorms we sometimes get can be quite scary! I remember hearing huge tree branches breaking off as a kid when we lived near a forested area.
