Hair for Hope 2011

No wonder VivoCity was so extra crowded today. It was time for Hair for Hope organized by the Children’s Cancer Foundation to raise awareness and to tell children with cancer that it’s ok to be bald.

I wondered why the stylists just didn’t give the participants a mohawk first before stripping off the middle. That would have been cool and they could then have a picture of themselves with a mohawk.

There was a mascot from the Children’s Cancer Foundation going around as well.

My cousin participated in this years ago. She shaved her locks to raise awareness on cancer. When we went out together, she would get looks from strangers. I admire her bravery for I doubt I would be able to go bald. 🙁

  2. Bookjunkie your plain awesome.
