Great post about Joo Chiat
thanks so much 🙂 Sometimes I get lazy about uploading my photos….especially when the internet speed is slow. Your comment makes me glad i did 🙂
I like the joo chiat area, but don’t really know what to make of it. I wish it were a long stretch of nice cafes I would like to visit, but they are just dotted around. Then there are some shops selling tyres and the like, the type of shop you would never walk into. And yes, Joo Chiat somehow feels hotter than elsewhere….
I think it’s because there are fewer trees around and less shelter.
I love how you take time to appreciate the beauty in everything you see. I’ve been to Joo Chiat so many times but never explored it the way that you do. You really do have an amazing eye for details!
And I know where Chilli Padi restaurant is now.. thanks to this! Heard the food is good.. 😉
sometimes I get scolded by store owners who say…”camera ah….no photos” (but in my mind I’m thinking, isn’t this free advertising?
They are probably thinking that you are a spy, trying to copy their products…
wasn’t too nice even….just some run down lighting store.
