Changi Airport Terminal 3

I think Singapore’s the only place where people go to the airport for recreation, even when they are not taking a flight out.

Here’s the latest attraction – don’t think I’ll ever be getting on this, but saw many kids gleefully lining up for their turn.

Cool train at a Toy Store.

This really seems more like a place for kids to have fun, than an airport.

When Popeyes was not all over Singapore, we used to have to come all the way to the airport. It used to be at Terminal 1 and then moved to Terminal 3. It’s hugely popular.

There’s a special promotion for Ramadan. It’s now the fasting month for Muslims in Singapore, where the fast is broken at sunset, with the consumption of dates and prayers.

O’Coffee Club is one of the places to hang out. The Coffee’s not great and I find the orange chairs uncomfortable, but the service staff here are very nice. I overheard one of the waiters joking and engaging with some travellers.

An aviation exhibit. There’s always something new to see at the airport.

The service carts the stewardesses wheel up and down the aisle. I do like the pretty lavender.

This reminds me of Wonder Woman’s plane.

Durian products at the airport – I was very surprised, but I think it’s cool. Mostly cakes though, not the actual durian.

Art at the airport. This was made out of stone that reminded me of marble.

What a cool fun day trip. Thank you for bringing your readers there with you. It’s much much appreciated. My son walked over and said, ‘wow’. It looks fun. Our airport is tiny, only about one terminal. I do enjoy going there though on rare occasion to see the people coming and going from all over the world.

The whole “people go to the airport to hang out at the airport” still weirds me out. In the US, airports are joyless gulags that you have to get through to get on a plane and go somewhere. Some are better than others, but they’re not somewhere you would ever go for “fun.”

On the other hand, I never have time to do the slide or any of the other stuff when I’m heading out on a flight. May have to try it some time…if I can get over what I perceive as the weirdness 🙂

that slide does look fun! I’d totally try it out….if i’m still a kid…not at heart, but for real, lol
