Red Dot Design Museum (Part 1 of 3)

The Red Dot Museum has it’s headquarters in Germany. The museum in Singapore is one of the largest design museums in Asia so I’m so glad I got a chance to view the products and the cool futuristic yet highly functional designs. I had mistakenly thought Red Dot equals Singapore, but Red Dot is actually the name of the German Design museum and the design award. For instance iPhone 4 won red dot’s best of the best award and I think this product totally deserves the accolade.

What luck that we didn’t pop by on a Wednesday or Thurday as it’s closed then.

A bunch of stackable bottles that go together like lego was the first thing we saw.

We could take photos with ease as photography is allowed here. The museum was totally empty when we went, so I think it’s a good idea to do this to promote the museum. I didn’t even know it existed till today and all by chance.

The designs here were all sleek and modern. I can appreciate these, but for a home I tend to prefer nordic or cosy shabby chic vintage. I find modern designs a bit cold sometimes. A bit too night club like.

All the products on display won the red dot design award including the nespresso pixie which I have been lusting over.

The red on this car is just the perfect shade of red. I was thinking for lipstick or nail polish as well. I prefer blue undertones rather than warmer yellow undertones.
