My Second Visit to the Dali Exhibit

We could have just gone with the S$20 tickets for the Titanic Exhibit, but since it cost just an additional S$4 (residents get a special rate) to visit the Dali exhibit again, I thought why not. Especially since my companion hasn’t seen it yet and it’ll be ending soon and replaced by a Cartier exhibit.

Noticed a few more things this time as my companion pointed out some details. Like the fact that Dali was very confident. So confident that his signature has a crown and he mentioned that he makes more than $40,000 by breakfast. A deep contrast to the long suffering painters, unrecognized for their talents till after their deaths, filled with self doubt and anguish.

The clocks on the wall are distorted in the mirrors placed in front of them. They then look just like the melting clocks.

I love the art, and the wall with the clocks! Maybe next time I go to a flea market, I’ll buy every clock there 😉
