Another of my favourite places in Stockholm was Gamla Stan which means Old Town. It was just a subway ride away from our hotel so it was the very first area we explored and also said to be a must see on Tripadvisor and other sites I checked out. The town is preserved with most of the buildings from the 17th & 18th century and it’s something I appreciate coming from a city of skyscrapers and constant construction and change. Singaporeans I think will love the little boutique stores with unique gifts you can purchase.
Sculpture at the Royal Palace.
Changing of the guards at the Royal Palace and I was most impressed that there was no distinction between the male and female uniforms.
There was a Christmas market set up in the square right in front of the Nobel Museum. The sweet smell of spicy hotdogs and almonds being roasted added to the atmosphere.
An Old Well. I thought this would be scary for little kids.
The jams here were so good. But it was not worth buying them and carrying them back. Afraid my baggage would be overweight.
fun!
I love your photos
Thanks Crystal….trying to get my memories down before they get foggy.
