Yayoiken: The New Japanese Restaurant at Liang Court

Been to Yayoiken twice already and I find the food authentic. You can tell by the fact that there are many Japanese patrons as well and there’s always a queue. Tried the Oyaku Don and Udon and they were both good. The egg omlette in the Oyaku Don was lovely and runny the way I like it. And I just found out that a Katsu Don (1100 calories) has almost double the number of calories compared to Oyaku Don (600 calories) so I am glad I like this item too. Food blogging makes me eat more than I should, so I need to watch the calories. Luckily I have no problem with cholesterol or blood pressure, but maybe that’s because I don’t eat beef and hardly eat seafood. I just don’t know how to appreciate things like Oysters and clams. But I do have a problem when it comes to carbs and sugar. I just can’t resist and always need something sweet to end a meal. Meals feel incomplete without something sweet and fruit doesn’t count for me.
