On the way to Bedok Reservoir Park, which is a bit hard to find, we passed by a mosque that looked majestic against the blue sky.
I like my photos best when the weather is unbearably hot. They always turn out good. And this area of Singapore is really quite pretty.
Also passed by an area where sand is stored. I wonder what this will be used for? Our beaches or for reclaimed land?
And here we are at Bedok Reservoir Park. It really is quite pretty. Would be nice if the heat didn’t feel like it was scorching my skin right off.
At least there were trees that provided some shade from the harsh sun.
Due to the spate of suicides, this sign is now up at the park. My superstitious companion pointed out that they should change the phone number. In Cantonese the number 4 is not good.
This park has made headlines not only for suicides but I think some murder cases as well. When we were there I saw someone water skiing and the whole area did not have any kind of negative vibe. I also couldn’t help thinking, when you’re severely clinically depressed does a telephone number help? I wonder what will really help.
If only the temperature would dip, this area would actually be quite pleasant as it’s quite isolated apart from the one jogger and two cyclists we spotted.
Red ants.
looks gorgeous.
I was warned about monkeys at a resevoir. Does this one have monkeys too, or is just ritchie (?) ?
I only see wild monkeys at Lower Pierce but not this one. I saw many of them perched on cars 🙂 It was a little intimidating.
I’ve heard they can be aggressive. Wouldn’t want them to freak the girls out.
