Love Watching Whitney Houston’s Live Performances on YouTube

I am just mesmerized watching Whitney Houston’s old live performances on YouTube. Here’s a live performance of ‘How Will I Know’ from 1985. Makes me wish I had gone for one of her concerts.

And boy was she a beauty. Here she is in 1986 introduced by a very young David Letterman.

Found it touching when she dedicated ‘Natural Woman’ to her husband Bobby Brown. In spite of all the differences, he was her daughter’s father and I don’t think it’s right that people say mean things about him at this time. Quite inappropriate. We don’t really know what goes on in a relationship between two people and at one time they really seemed in love. You can tell when she sang this song.

I am not an American, but even I can’t help but be moved by her performance of the Star Spangled Banner. She really sang her heart out, and the way her lips quivered reminded me of a nightingale.
