TWG opened a new branch at Takashimaya. I think Royal Copenhagen used to be in this spot. The Indian owners of TWG must be doing really well and it’s no wonder as I’m sure their profit margins are very high. But then I am a sucker and was craving for the tea party tea in particular. Also tried the cream brulee tart which was very good.
My companion had never tried atas tea before so it was a chance we couldn’t miss. The signature 1837 tea which we were recommended didn’t seem very special and I won’t be having that again. It was hard to make a choice among the very thick menu of hundreds of teas. I’ve had smoky Earl Grey before too, but I found that too strong.
