The Majestically Beautiful Dome of the Old Supreme Court Building

This was taken from Central. I am always impressed by this structure constructed between 1937-1939. So much better than the new Supreme Court Building which looks like a flying saucer and I feel quite an eyesore. Guess I just prefer old architecture unless it is designed well like the Marina Bay Sands for instance.

Compared to the turquoise dome the other buildings flanking it look kinda ugly.

Was it really constructed only in 1937??? It looks like it’s from a 100 years ago. Totally agree that this has much more character than the modern designs. It’s too bad that it has the colonial aspect to it. I mean if that’s really part of our history, why deny it? If it were that big a deal, why are we still part of the Commonwealth?!
