The Fat Cat at Jalan Riang

Always find the sky beautiful when it’s threatens to rain hard. This was at Jalan Riang where you’ll find not one but three good places to eat. Tried out Jules and Wimbly Lu and now finally tried The Fat Cat as well. It’s the non-airconditioned cafe that serves both Thai and North Indian food. We just tried the North Indian food and I must say although portions of the tandoori chicken were small and prices were steep, the naan we had, was pretty soft and fluffy.

This cafe definitely has the coolest logo and name.

It seems to be a popular place for lunch with lunch sets.

The Tandoori chicken was good (not as good as what we had in Delhi), but better than some other places. But I wished we could have had more.

Wish we could have had more raita (yogurt with cucumber, onions and tomatoes) as well.

It would have also been a better experience if they served iced water for free.

We tried the mango lassi that I found too bitter. Perhaps the mango itself was not sweet or less sugar was added to make it healthier.

Even though there is no air-conditioning, just fans, the place was rather windy and airy. Not stuffy at all.
