JCube: The Bookstore

There is actually quite a lot to see at the new Jurong Mall. Couldn’t fit it all in the previous post so I decided to spilt it up into a few posts.

I am happy that there’s a Times Bookstore. I usually check out the Fiction section first and I am happy that the orange series from Penguin makes more of the contemporary classics affordable.

I love looking at book covers, but it’s the first paragraph in the novel that makes me decide whether to buy it or not.

From the bookstore you can get a view of the bus terminus. Lots of natural light floods the place.

  1. i’m so glad that the bookshop brought in NYPL selection of forgotten classics. I judge if I want to buy a book by the title, the synopsis, and whether it won any awards or not! heh.

I also choose books based on the 1st paragraph (or 1st chapter)! Would love to hear you share your recent good reads 🙂

I am ashamed to admit I haven’t been reading as much lately. Would love to do another book list share soon 🙂

I know the feeling. I have one I haven’t touched or unwrapped. Bought it a year ago. It’s like a precious jewel.
