Gardens by the Bay: The Flower Dome (Part 1)

You’ll be greeted by screens displaying pictures of flowers as you enter The Flower Dome. Guess things like this give the place more of a Theme Park than a garden feel.

Upon first view we were impressed. Found the Dome and biggest sky roof ever quite lovely. Love looking through the clear roof at our pretty pale blue skies. It felt so refreshing and cool to be inside.

The first plants we saw were cacti. And this turned out to be my favourite section. I especially loved the cacti with the pink flowers.

Loved these cool wooded statues. Yeah, there were some things I did like about the place. Not all bad. Just had to temper my expectations.

Love learning new things so if I come again I’ll be reading all these in detail.

The curved dome is pretty sexy. I do like curved edges.

I went overboard with the photo taking again so have to continue in Part 2.

I’ve always wanted to visit the southwest of the US and see cacti growing in their natural environment. Hasn’t happened yet–too many places to see and not nearly enough time or money!

me too. For me it’s a bit of fear of flying as well that holds me back. But of all the places I’ve been, the US has been the most exciting even though I’ve hardly explored even a fraction of the country.
