Will be sticking to Samy’s Curry when I am craving for South Indian curries. Didn’t enjoy the more expensive cusine at Muthu’s or the air-conditioned ambience as much. It wasn’t bad, but not my top choice. I wanted to try it to make a comparison. I recall that the mutton at Muthu’s used to be so good – before they expanded. And a lot spicier. Perhaps it’s lost that individual touch. I find that happens when places expand and become commercialized too much.
The high ceiling was nice.
The fish head curry was rich and flavourful but I preferred the one at Appollo that had a more sourish taste (never tried the one at Samy’s though).
